Poker Without Cards

Disclaimer:  I did help Ben with the marketing of this book up until 2005, when I convinced my artistic partner Dave to publish it on his new (at the time) publishing venture. Soon after Dave and I agreed to part ways because, having handed over the marketing to Ben, we observed that we had a difference of philosophy regarding methodology. I have since seen my name and the name of a few of our projects used in conjunction with the marketing of this book and other of Ben’s endeavors. I think this is just Ben being Ben, but I want it to be known that I am not nor have I been involved in the promotion of this book or anything else beyond our parting ways years ago. Having said that, I will stand my my word for now and leave the book here as formerly stated.

Also, the New EII would like me to state for the record, that Ben was not a member of the EII. He was considered at one time, but was passed over. -JM

  2. Mr. Mack’s excellent reputation preceeds him. Ahthough I’ve yet to hear the call, I look forward to it.

It seems strange to be promoted to this site with the caveat that only first 100 will be given downloads to the book when the copy above it says that it’s there “for perpituity.”

The cover of the book is most interesting. But there’s no information about the book, either in the email or on the page. It’s all a bit strange, or am I missing something?

    Regards,

    Tom Justin

  3. Tom,
We have no idea what email you’re referring to. We did not send out an email that said only 100 would get downloads.

  4. I got the same email saying it would only be available to the first 100 people.

  5. Actually I have to agree with Tom, here’s the excerpt from the email I got:

This is my first eBook that is now $zero
for the first 100 folks that download here:

  6. Here’s the email I got from
“Ben Mack via Long Run Marketing Inc.”

    Subject: $0 book, first 100

    Dear non-buying friend,

Obviously I haven’t proven my $97 worth to
you with Think Two Products Ahead, YET.

Never fear! I’ll trade ya! I’ll give you
an info product if you’ll help me get
    a buzzzzzzzzzzzzz going.

This is my first eBook that is now $zero
for the first 100 folks that download here:

    http://greylodge.org/gpc/?p=558

    Now, here’s a note from my sponsor…

We had an OVERWHELMING response to the teleseminar last
    night with Ben Mack!

The focus of the call was: using branding to increase sales
right away. Nearly 300 people registered for a call which
only had room for 97 people.

The teleseminar represented a breakthrough in marketing
concepts. One person who was fortunate enough to get on the
phone bridge wrote to me immediately afterward with this:

“I emailed Ben to tell him you guys may have just planted
the seed of bringing a whole new level of sophistication
and professionalism to the world of direct response online
    marketing!”

Though we had people on the call from Australia, the UK and
Europe, we also had people who couldn’t attend, but wanted
    the information anyway.

To accommodate them — and you (if you missed the call or
would simply like to hear it again)– I’ve posted a
    downloadable mp3 at:

    http://www.world-copywriting-institute.com/new-wave/

I don’t know how long I’ll keep it up, so check it out now.

    Cheers,

    David Garfinkel

  7. Must be an affiliate/JV sending out the email on 100 downloads. Quote” This is my first eBook that is now $zero

  8. Since Mr. Mack or Mr. Campbell didn’t bother to tell us that he planned on limiting the downloads to 100, we stated perpetuity. We, the owners of this site therefore stand behind OUR original statement and have no intention of removing this file.

  9. I messed up.

    1) The email was only supposed to go to non-buyers and it went to everybody

    2) I just wasn’t thinking $$$

I’m sorry if you are offended. I hope the quality of this site makes up for it.

The sTaRe Network is solid and without their help I could not have produced What Would Bill Hicks Say.

I’m sorry for any confusion I created.

  11. Hi,

    How is everyone doing?

I’d read the first few pages in chapter 1 and it’s an intriguing story. For some reason, I have this urge to continue reading it…hmmm…strange.

  12. Fantastic! I was wondering where the free downloads for Mr. Mack’s transcription/e-book had vanished to. This book is the definitive vaccination against media mind control. After the El Centro mind control campaign… Well, iT was just wot The Good Doctor ordered.

Here’s to “building the better doughnut”!

    Thanks again!

  18. Cap’n Mack. Glad to see some recent comments. I first read your book printed from oficess office waste-paper on at least 3 machines in two or three offices, hole-punched and bundled together over the course of two weeks or so, so every other flip-side had some random piece of office jive on it, or any number unsolicited fax ads. A couple of years later it’s for sale in the bookstores and it’s still . relevant. …In a cheeky nudge-nudge kind of way that really gets under my skin.
I’d love to see a re-release online. Revamp the existing marketing plan, and let ‘er loose.
I’d be happy to help with editing stuff - I’m real particular about proofreading.
Thanks again for the book. Gotta look and see what you’re up to these days. I just happened upon this again.
    Best,
    Betsy

  21. The king of all pirates endorses this book. It takes more than words on a page to change your life, thought-action, the law of attraction, you are not reading this by mistake.

  22. I am so glad that you didnt print the book in paper because that would have wasted a lot of our world’s precious resources.

    entertaining read nevertheless

  23. It seems to me that Bob, Bucky, PKD and maybe even the Poet wd/ enjoy this transcript….maybe not?

If this be a synthesis of uncle BOB’s Tale of the Tribe, its one of most condensed tributes i have read so far. Excelsior…

    There’s no confusion here.
The narrative voice need not be that of the narrator himself. If he has a constellation of voices, inflections. Where does this end? Amazing, keep going bro…

    Thanks for launching this transcript,

The way that i discovered it makes it so much more meaningful and wonderful. And so damn late and after the original launch!

But the effect still works well for me,
    Very effective literature.

    Thanks..
    Keep the Lasagna spinning…
