I first discovered his music not long after the release of Dark Side. Although it would appear that he had Aspergers Syndrome, I related so much to his music, as I lived with a schizophrenic mother from the tender age of 11. His music touched a chord. When you witness madness you identify with the sounds of Syd.

Amazing and very insightful film about Syd Barrett. I learned about him from my dad who is a been a big Pink Floyd fan since the late 60s.

Rest in Peace, Syd. This footage and the rest of your small but powerful legacy will be with us forever. When we meet again you’ll be 27 years old again and writing another Pink Floyd album for us all to enjoy.

Maybe now, following Syd’s death - the other members of the original Pink Floyd are feeling a little guilty. Apparently they used to encourge him to take heroic doses of 60s quality LSD and when he began to flip now and then - their approach was to lock him in a wardrobe.

Hey everyone.. I heard about this movie airing on tv in UK the other day. I’m in the US and searched EVERYWHERE I even tried to Limewire it.. can’t find it!! Does anyone know how I can watch this movie.. up above there is a link on download it but .. it comes up not avaliable!! HELP!!!

I made this poem in Honour of you Syd.
The night birds whimper in morn of him through their cries, and with them I do too. We all hope you’ve found the right path, we all really miss you. They say you were crazy but I know underneath that crazy disguise, and if anyone ever looked clearly enough through those dark holes for eyes, they’d find you, they’d find you inside waiting to break free, to explode your true self through-out the world and to let everyone know, this is the real you, the real you we all love so…R.I.P Syd.
You were a very inspirational man Syd. R.I.P Forever my friend…
